Screw the trucks, Elephants are better...

As Audrey mentioned, the game drive last night was pretty awesome, got some awesome video of the lions etc. Need to edit that and then will post it as well.  In lieu of the video here is a few pictures from last night from my camera!

Definitely pretty crazy to be this close to wild lions!  This morning started off amazing too as we drove to our elephant back safari, we came across lots of animals:

This was also our view from the elephant safari place.

It is a great place that takes care of elephants that are used to humans.  The great thing was that they feed them completely naturally, with a human there and that they actually prefer to sleep inside.. Hehe

Anyways as we were driving up we saw them going for water:

After that we got a story, and it turns out that our elephant was a famous movie star, and is the elephant that is on the Amarula bottle.  He is beautiful and I am glad that he is in the care of these really awesome rangers.

We also got to feed him and get pics with him as well..

We have tons of other pics too, but ya, it was pretty cool.  My groin still kinda hurts as they are definitely wide.  On the way back to the lodge we saw a wildebeest and some zebras.

This place is so full of life that I a saddened by all the poaching news you hear.  Once we got back we wasted no time in having breakfast and sitting by the pool.  Today is the hottest it has been yet for us, so it was nice to kick back.

At 4:30pm we went to our next game drive I think the end goal was to find the ever so elusive leopard. So far it is the only one of the big five that we have not seen.  Funny enough we were tracking one three times so far and just didn't get to see it.

We never did find it, but we did see lots of other animals:

This buffalo was just loving the head scratching on this tree:

And then a sassy zebra:

Anyways, one more of us motoring on the safari vehicle...

We are off to Lion Sands Tinga tomorrow after our game drive. Hopefully we will have more luck tomorrow with the leopard!
