It's a bird...it's a plane...no, it's a...shark...

Where to start, it's been a super long day for us.  We started off with great news.  They were able to reschedule our shark cage diving!!  So after we left Cape Town yesterday we rearranged our plans so that we had a 5am wake up and 5:45am departure.  We are lucky we moved to Hermanus, as if we were leaving from Cape Town, we would have needed to be up by 3am.

When we got to the little town where they launch for the diving it was just light, and we of course had a bit of breakfast, and our graval pills.  Before we know it we are suited up and ready to depart.

We were informed of the water temperature being a balmy 9 or 10 degrees Celsius....that's the Atlantic Ocean for you. As a result we got the fantastic 7mm wet suits.

I am not gonna lie it was still amazingly cold.  But once you got in it wasn't that bad.  Audrey went first.

Sadly, the water was crazy murky so you couldn't see too far, but basically the way it went was they were chumming the water and had fish heads that they were casting out infront of the cage.

Right away we got sharks breaching the water before we could even get in the cage.  I have tons of video to go through, but once I get it done at home I will post some fantasticness.  Until then though here are a few pics.

As a bonus the one crew mate was screwing with e seagulls... Lol

In total we saw 4 different sharks multiple, times before we went back in.  Overall a pretty cool experience, I only wish the water was a) warmer... And b) less murky,  the stuff from the top was pretty cool though.

After this we had a crazy long drive through the mountains to get to our next stop, an Ostrich farm.  Mostly used now for leather and meat, feathers are only about 5% of the industry now.

Had a tour of the far, even and saw lots of different sizes etc. Including breeding pairs sitting on their eggs.

We even stood on the eggs!

They even had a couple of week old babies!

Really cool overall however we were to heavy to race or ride them.  So that's about it for today had some ostrich babotie for dinner.  It is a traditional dish and was quite tasty.

Anyways sleep is calling. Out for now.
